At the time Margaret Atwood’s novel about a dystopian future was published, it seemed as though the world depicted in The Handmaid’s Tale was simply a grim look at an alternate reality. “This is what might occur if ‘the wrong people’ take over; fortunately we don’t have to worry about it.” I don’t know if that thought holds true today.

Okay, I’ll admit, I’ve fallen behind on some reviews, and I’ve watched a lot since December. So here’s a lightening round of quick reviews I wrote for a bunch of things I’ve watched since then.

It goes without saying that Pixar knocks it out of the park whenever they release a new film. Toy Story, Up, Inside Out, Monsters Inc., the Incredibles; you name it, it’s been hit by the proverbial bat. Pixar knows how to tug at your heart strings.
