Mario’s Musings (Video Game Edition): Final Fantasy VII Remake
Well, I finished it.
I actually finished a modern video game not named Legend of Zelda for the first time in a long while, although I usually go out of my way to finish any Final Fantasy game (okay, I haven’t finished XII, XIII, or XV yet).
Mario’s Musings (Anniversary Edition): Back to the Future
Back to the Future is 35 years old, making your resident reviewer resort to new ways to seem younger than a majority of his favorite films. We all know Back to the Future and everything that comes with it; Marty, Doc, Biff, George, Lorraine, the DeLorean, Einstein, as well as Huey Lewis and the News. It’s a timeless flick… uh... pun somewhat intended.
Mario’s Musings (Anniversary Edition): Batman Forever
Okay, I’m going to admit it, this MIGHT be my favorite Batman movie, but I can’t honestly explain why. Is it because it’s a Jim Carrey movie that just happens to have Batman in it? Is it because it has the hottest movie soundtrack of the 90s featuring Seal, U2, and the Offspring? It is because Val Kilmer plays perhaps the dumbest Batman of all time? Or is it because it’s the movie that made Nicole Kidman my first celebrity crush? Maybe all of the above?
Mario’s Musings (Quarantine Edition): Event Horizon
You know, seeing Sam Neill go from Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park to Dr. Weir in Event Horizon was like a sharp betrayal. Dr. Grant was that guy who, despite his hatred of kids, ends up bonding with a pair while they tried to survive the horrors of Jurassic Park. Dr. Weir, on the other hand, succumbs to the horrors of his creation and brings half the crew of the Lewis and Clark down with him.
