Don's Digest: The Snyder Cut Lives
“It’s Alive. It’s Alive! It’s ALIVE!!” Okay, that quote is actually from the 1931 James Whale-directed classic, Frankenstein, NOT Justice League. However, it perfectly sums up the never-ending Internet movement known as #ReleasetheSnyderCut.
Don's Digest: Will The New Mutants Ever See The Light of Day?
If the recent round of rumors are to be believed, the long-delayed superhero horror film, The New Mutants, will not feature any references to the Fox X-Men series upon its April 2020 release.
Mario’s Musings (Video Game Edition): Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo
I have a lot of fond memories of my childhood. Of course, I was a bit of a nerd so a lot of those fond memories involved movies, video games, and Legos. And since this review focuses on a video game, let’s go back a bit to my childhood, around 20 years ago to be exact, when I was still in grade school. While I was still enjoying the likes of Super Mario Bros and Legend of Zelda, one of my best friends, Eric Krause (yeah, he’s getting a name drop here), decided to introduce me to the concept of role-playing games (or RPGs, more on this later), which brought me to the original Final Fantasy VII.
Mario’s Movie Musings (Comics Edition): Stan Lee
Stan Lee has died.
Four words I never wanted to write. His influence was all around us; it was on television, movies, and of course, comic books. No matter your age, you most likely consumed some form of medium that had his fingerprints on it. The current Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled with his creations and has cameos from him in all twenty or so films (we’ll see if he cameos in Captain Marvel and the unnamed fourth Avengers movie), he appeared in Kevin Smith’s Mallrats and Comic Book Men, he did cameos in non-Marvel Studios flicks like the X-Men movies and Deadpool, he was animated on the Simpsons, and the list goes on. Stan Lee was everywhere.
