Mario's Musings: El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie
“Look, I like making cherry product, but let’s keep it real, alright? We make poison for people who don’t care. We probably have the most unpicky customers in the world.”
One of my favorite lines from Jesse Pinkman regarding the business he and Walter White got themselves in. Breaking Bad and its spinoff Better Call Saul showed us the seedy underworld of the drug trade, fried chicken, and lawyers. El Camino is like an epilogue to that whole story, following Jesse Pinkman after the events of Breaking Bad. It wraps the gift of those two shows in one pretty pink bow that we may or may not need.
Mario’s Musings (Anniversary Edition): Seinfeld
Thirty years of nothing.
Seinfeld: the show about the life of a standup comedian and his three friends in New York City. Yada yada yada and that’s the article. Thanks for reading…
Mario's Musings: Stumptown
Cobie Smulders returns to television in Stumptown after a nice stint in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Maria Hill after How I Met Your Mother ended. Stumptown is the nickname for Portland, Oregon, and is also based on a graphic novel of the same name (which was news to me).
Mario’s Movie Musings (Anniversary Edition): LOST
“Guys, where are we?”
The big question asked by Dominic Monaghan’s Charlie during the second episode, one that would hover over the entire series.
