Mario’s Movie Musings (Television Edition): Bluff City Law
I’ll be honest; I’m a sucker for lawyer shows, even though I always cross my fingers so I don’t get picked for jury duty. I genuinely enjoyed watching Suits even though every season repeated itself. Angel’s main adversaries during his five-season adventure in Los Angeles were lawyers (until taking over the law firm itself in season five). Franklin & Bash was a fun ride until Heather Locklear put her death hooks into the show. And last but certainly not least, Better Call Saul is a calculating look at the evolution of Jimmy McGill into Saul Goodman. So of course, when a friend asked if I wanted to go to the sneak premiere of Bluff City Law, I figured it was worth a shot.
Movies: A Real International Woman of Mystery
Movie goers have long been enthralled by the epic tales of spies and special agents. From iconic characters like James Bond to the characters who parody them, such as Austin Powers, we are fascinated by the idea that we never truly know if there are covert agents threaded into the fabric of our everyday lives.
Mario's Movie Musings (Anniversary Edition): Angel
“Let’s go to work.”
The last words spoken by Angel as he and his comrades face off against the Senior Partners in the back alley of the Hyperion Hotel; the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers to close out five seasons of Joss Whedon’s Angel.
